We thoroughly enjoyed our work for the Engineering Project. The project had different steps that we had to do which led up to us designing our own inventions. Here is an idea of what we had to do:
- Think of questions that we would like to ask during an interview with an engineer.
- An engineer visits our class to talk about their work and to answer our questions.
- We design our invention to help to solve a problem of our choice.
- We write a letter to explain how our design works, who it would help etc.
A particular thank you goes to Mr Hales who was the engineer who visited our class. We really enjoyed learning about his work at Williams F1 Racing and we even got to make our own cars that we could test in our challenge: Who can build the tallest car?
Take a look at the photos from our fabulous session. We think that it has definitely helped to inspire a future generation of engineers! We would also like to thank Rebekah for her help with the sessions and to Williams F1 for their generosity.
