This week in Year 1 Evenlode Class (w/e 14.06.19)

Well done to all of our Year 1's who worked so very hard on their Phonics this week for the Phonics Screening Check. It is great to see how their confidence has developed and I was very proud of all of them. 

We have continued with our History work on the Great Fire of London and we have now finished making our houses. At some point over the next few weeks we will be working with Miss Williams to burn our houses in our small reconstruction of the Great Fire!

In Maths this week we have been focusing on Fractions. We have consolidated our work on finding halves and have moved on to finding quarters of shapes/ objects and finding quarters of amounts.

In PE this term we are focusing on Athletics in preparation for our Interhouse Field Events and for Sports Evening. Please ensure that your child has their kit (including trainers) for PE on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
