I just wanted to start this week by saying a HUGE well done to all of the children for being responsible and independent when they walk round into class in the mornings. I am very proud of the whole class for just taking everything in their stride.
We have started our work on The Train Ride story in English. We started by thinking about train rides that we had been on and what we had seen out of the window. Take a look at the photos of our paintings to show what we could see. In Maths we have been comparing groups and numbers by using the <,>,= symbols. To help us remember which symbol is the correct one, we have used the image of a crocodile mouth and the crocodile always wants to 'eat' the bigger number. In Geography with Mrs Bayliss, the children talked about what is in our local area. They drew pictures of their favourite places in Appleton. Next week in Phonics we will be finishing our recap of the Set 1 Read Write Inc sounds and will be moving on to the Set 2 sounds.
