In English this week we have been working hard on finishing and editing our own versions of the Feast story. We have begun our new unit of work looking at persuasive writing for a holiday brochure and in preparation for this we took a flight to Brazil on Friday to see some of the sights!
In maths we have finished our addition and subtraction unit and have begun looking at measurement, recapping our knowledge of converting between mm, cm and m. Next week we'll be looking at converting m into km and perimeter. In music we have been writing our own anti-bullying rap and have begun rehearsing for our KS2 Christmas online service. We have been impressed by the children's maturity and sensitivity in discussing issues around celebrating difference in collective worship and PSHE. Our spellings this week are the -ly words: sadly completely wildly bravely gently foolishly proudly horribly nervously happily Hopefully Spelling Shed is working correctly now! Please make sure you are practising times tables and reading. It's been fantastic to see how the children are enjoying our new Diary of a Wimpy Kid box set of books. Have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week.
