We have had another busy week in Cole Class.
We started a new unit of work in English all about Space poetry, closely linking to our topic of Space. We read a number of Space poems and talked about our likes and dislikes. We then looked carefully at their features and talked about how we might perform them. We watched a video by Michael Rosen which taught us how to perform. You can view this below.
We then performed our poems to the rest of the class.
In Maths, we learned how to count in 2s, 3s, 5s, and 10s. We spotted patterns and recognised which numbers we could find in multiple times tables.
As we are leading up to Remembrance Day, we have created some amazing poppies using red paper plates and wool. We cut and then threaded our wool around the plate to create the centre of the poppy. These can be viewed at St Laurence Church next week.
