In English this week we have just about finished sentence stacking our disaster stories based on a flood. Next week we will start to plan our own disaster stories.
This week in maths we have started a new topic of measurement. We began by looking at how we can use a ruler to measure accurately in centimetres and millimetres. Later in the week we learnt how to convert between metres and centimetres, and then centimetres and millimetres. In Science this week we have started to think about our diets and which groups the food we eat fits into, this is part of our topic, Animals, Including Humans. Next week we will begin to think more about the nutrition that we get from food and the effect that it has on our bodies. In our Health and Fitness PE lesson this week we focused on raising our heart rates in some fast paced games and fitness activities! This week’s spellings have been set on Spelling Shed; we will have a short test next Tuesday. Spelling Rule: Adding the suffix ‘–ly’ when the root word ends in ‘-le’ then the ‘-le’ is changed to ‘-ly.’ Gently Simply Humbly Nobly Terribly Incredibly Responsibly Wrinkly Possibly
