We have had another really busy week in Foundation.
The children really enjoyed the Harvest fruit printing and singing with Mrs Banfield and have been able to tell me lots about different fruits and vegetables that could be harvested. We welcomed Mrs Paul to our class this week and she has enjoyed being shown the ropes by all of the children. Mrs Smith has been busy doing drama with the children and they have been loving working on Peter Pan and silent movies together. Pictures will be on Tapestry soon so keep an eye out for them. We have been learning the 'a' sound in phonics and have been practising writing and reading it too. The children loved our second PE lesson outside and are already developing their independence when changing and organizing their clothes. Our PSHE focused on using gentle hands and we thought about all of the positive things we could do with our hands. The children came up with some lovely ideas from grooming their pets to hugging their mummies and daddies. Finally we have continued our work on counting and making patterns in maths and the children are becoming great pattern detectives. Finally, 3 things you can ask your child this week:- - Can they remember any words starting with 'a'? - Can they show you how to play the shoe game from PE? - Do they remember the names of our Animal Attitudes? Have a great weekend, Mrs Ballard.
