SirToday we continued our work on Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers. We began by being tour guides and we worked in groups to think about why planet Earth is wonderful. Take a look at the videos to hear some of our ideas. Then we listened to the song 'What a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong. We watched this video narrated by Sir David Attenborough to inspire lyrics to write our own versions of the song www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8WHKRzkCOY It was great to hear everyone's ideas about why they think that our world is wonderful. As part of our play based learning, we worked together to make a super shiny rocket that could go into space (inspired by Here We Are). The children drew plans and designs before they made their rocket ship. Thank you to Stevie for helping to make our rocket dreams come true. Here are some photos from our activities today:
