This week in Cole Class we have begun learning about writing formal and informal letters linked to our work on Florence Nightingale. In maths, we have been working on dividing by 2, 5 and 10 as well as recognising odd and even numbers. This week I have put the 10 times table practice activity on EdShed (same login as Spelling Shed) for the children to practice at home.
In science this week we did some research on the habitats the children had chosen, thinking about the animals and plants that live there and why the conditions are suitable for them. Then we made our habitat dioramas, which the children were really enthusiastic about doing. They have done a brilliant job and this morning we shared their work with the rest of the school in Collective Worship. Some children even went home last night and made their own versions straight away. Thank you so much to all the parents who have donated shoe boxes, do please keep them coming as next half term the current Forest School group will be doing science and making their dioramas. Have a great weekend and we hope you enjoy the photos below. Mrs Lappin & Mrs James
