We have come to the end of another busy week in Foundation. We focused on writing this week and have been putting together all of the skills we have been practising to produce some writing about "Harry and his bucketful of Dinosaurs go to school" by Ian Wybrow. The children have all written part of the story themselves and I have been astounded by how much they have learned and remembered. I know how hard the children have been working but it is lovely to see all of their effort coming together to produce some lovely writing.
PE has continued to think about journeys and navigating a space safely. The children are really responding to this and are enjoying exploring how to move. We have been continuing work on adding numbers to 10 in maths and the children have been exploring Numicon equipment to do this. They have enjoyed the challenge of writing some of their own sums. Finally three things to ask your child this week:- - Can they think of any numbers that add together to make 10? - Can they tell you how Harry got to school in their stories? - Can they name a carnivore and a herbivore? Have a great weekend, Mrs Ballard.
