For our final week of our Change 4 Life extra-curricular club we went on a trip to the park. It has been great fun this term thinking about how we can be more active and using lots of fun equipment/ trips out into the village to help us to make active choices.
We had a fantastic time at the KS1 Quad Kids competition last week. The competition involved teams of 10, taking part in four events (50m sprint, 300m run, throwing and a standing jump). The children were very focused and determined, and came away with three individual prizes for top scores, as well as the main team prize! Congratulations to both of our teams, as well as Tilly, Will and Cory, who scooped those individual points total prizes.
Thank you to all of our parent helpers on this event, as well as to Miss Leggett for organising.
Thank you to the Year 6 leaders who helped to organise and lead the Interhouse Athletics Field Events competition with lower KS2 today. Take a look at some of the photos:
On Friday 21st June, Cricket Club went to Cumnor Cricket Club with Miss Sutton, Mrs Bowman and Matthew's mum. A man called George played games and practised cricket techniques with us. He would also occasionally give us a fact or two about the grounds. The games we played were Diamond Cricket and Railway Cricket and we practised bowling techniques. At the end he quizzed us on the same facts about the grounds. We also got these cool badges that are extremely exclusive as there are only 5000 in the UK! We all had a really fun time and would like to thank Miss Sutton, Mrs Bowman and Matthew's mum for coming.
On Monday 17th June, a group of boys from Year 5 and 6 went to Chandlings to play cricket. We lost our first game, won our second game but we made it through to the semi-final. Sadly, we lost the semi-final though. Overall we came fourth out of 8 teams.

We played four matches and we lost the first two and won the second two. It was really fun and we all enjoyed it. Overall we came third out of 5. Thank you to Miss Sutton and Michelle Dickinson for taking us to the event. We were very happy because we got lots of refreshments.
