The school will do its best to:
- provide a high quality education within a broad and balanced curriculum
- encourage children to have respect for themselves, their surroundings and others around them
- expect the best from children in behaviour and work
- take reasonable steps to ensure the safety, happiness and self confidence of all children
- be open and welcoming at all reasonable times and offer opportunities for parents/ carers to become involved in the daily life of the school
- inform parents/ carers regularly about their child’s progress
- inform children, parents, carers what the teacher aims to teach the children each term
- set, mark and monitor home tasks in keeping with the school’s policy
- contact parents/ carers as soon as possible if we are concerned about their child’s work or behaviour
- contact parents/ carers if there is a persistent problem concerning attendance or punctuality
- take responsibility for Child Protection in line with the School’s policy

- come to school regularly and be on time

- make sure that my child attends the school regularly and inform the school of the reasons for any absence as soon as possible
- support the school in maintaining my child’s good behaviour and discipline
- support my child with homework and other home learning opportunities (learning spellings and times tables and listen to my child read
- attend parent / teacher meetings
- support School Events in school and St Laurence
- ensure that my child wears the school uniform and follows the school dress code
- let the school know if there are any problems that may affect my child’s ability to learn
- make sure that the school has up to date emergency contact numbers and details
- encourage my child to develop independence and take responsibility for their own actions
