Foundation Stage Weekly Update 11.01.19

Firstly, I just wanted to say how amazing the children have been settling back in to school after the Christmas break. They have quickly picked up the routines again and are back in the flow of school.

We have had a busy week this week, the children have all written about their Christmas holidays. We have started to learn the days of the week and the order they go in and we have learned the ‘f’ and ‘ff’ sound in phonics. Our PSHE and RE has focused on New Years Resolutions and the children have all made their own resolutions which are up on display in the classroom if you want to come and take a look.

Our PE this term will take place on a Wednesday and will start next week so please make sure you have a PE kit in school for then.

We have met ‘Tommy’ our class bear today and one of the children has taken Tommy home for the weekend. He will get to spend a weekend with every child and they will get a chance to share what they did with him to the rest of the class on a Monday.

Finally 3 things to ask your child this week:-

  • Can they think of anything starting with ‘f’?
  • Can they remember what our topic is this term?
  • Are they able to tell you their resolution?

As always come and see me if you need to know anything.

Many Thanks,

Kayleigh Ballard.
