The school gate opens at 8:35am in preparation for a prompt start to learning at 8:50am.

The registers close at 9:00am.

Foundation Stage and Years 1 and 2 finish at 3:10pm. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 finish at 3:15pm. 

Collective Worship

The act of collective worship is an important part of our morning routine and takes place at 9:15am each morning.

Morning playtimes

Break is usually from 10:40-10:55am for all classes. When the backfield is unsuitable for play, we move to a staggered playtime between 10:20 and 11:00am during which time all classes get a 20-minute outside playtime on the front playgrounds or the Astroturf.

Lunchtime

Lunch is 12:00 - 1:00pm.

Reception, year 1 and 2 eat their lunch between 12:00 and 12:30 before going out to play until 1pm.

Years 3 , 4 , 5 and 6 play outside between 12:00 and 12:30 before going to eat their lunch at 12:30.

Drop-off

The classrooms are open from 8:35am when teachers will be ready to welcome the children. Children are encouraged to manage their routines independently and settle to their morning tasks. If there is an issue that might affect the wellbeing of a child, parents are welcome to discuss this with a senior member of staff on the gate before registration or make an appointment for a longer discussion with the class teacher at the end of the school day.

Drop off and Collection

Drop off and pick up is at the main school gate. There is always members of staff to support children coming into school. 

At the end of the day, all children are walked to the main gate and handed over to parents. Children will be taken to the school office to wait if their parent is not there to collect them.

If parents of children in years 5 and 6 feel it is appropriate for their child to walk home independently, they need to inform the school in writing.
