In year 2 over the past few weeks we have been learning about money. We’ve learnt to recognise the different coins, as well as how to make the same amount with different coins. We’ve done addition and subtraction with money, and also solved some money problems.
We have spent lots of time using money in class, as practical activities and experimentation are a huge part of how we learn. Here are some photos of year 2 in sthis weekome of our practical tasks – being rare animal dealers. We were going to run a fruit and veg stall, but strangely, we couldn’t find the plastic fruit anywhere! Big thanks to Mrs Ballard for lending us a box of random animals from Foundation Stage instead.
